My Passion As a Teacher
Ever since I was a little boy, I wanted to become a teacher. I wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps so badly. I saw the joy that he got in educating his students and pushing them to strive and reach new heights. My father taught me to always take pride in the work that I did. I worked very hard in school and earned my degrees in education and English. I took a job a prestigious high school. I expect a lot from my students. I have used a free plagiarism checker to make sure that the papers that they turned were original.
Before the advances in technology, plagiarism was hard to prove. It was hard for me to tell if one of my students actually copied someone else’s work and passed it off as their own. I felt that this was bad for two reasons. First, the students that chose to copy another person’s work and pass it off as their own were not learning anything beneficial. Second, I felt that these students made a complete fool out of me. Those were two things that I could not slide as an educator. The plagiarism checkers have made my job as a teacher that much easier.
Two years ago, I assigned my class two write a five-page paper on the Neoclassicism art movement. It was to be typed double-spaced. I was so excited to read the papers of my students. While reading one of the papers, I felt that something was fishy. The student whose paper I was reading was not one of my best student. They often fell asleep in class and did not pay attention in class. I noticed that his paper was a little to perfect for my taste. I used the plagiarism checker online. I discovered that a similar paper was online. It was verbatim. The only thing he changed was the name. I was so relieved that the checker detected his deceit.
