We Needed Training for New Sales Leads
When I looked at the last quarter sales, I knew that we had to do something. We were no longer growing, but at least we had been maintaining our sales with existing customers. This last quarter, we actually lost a few accounts, and it was going to continue to hurt us if we did not grow a bigger customer base. After talking with our sales team, it was agreed that we all needed to have a fresh sales training course. I took it upon myself to look at the different seminars in our area that handled this type of training, and I knew that I had found the right one within just a few minutes.
I read the testimonials first of other companies. These were well-known companies, and I was impressed that they were so happy with the updated sales training that they had received. The company could come to our own place of business to do the training, or we could go to them. I opted to go to them because it would give us a chance to just break free for three days and learn as much as possible.
I figured if we did it at the company itself, then there would be distractions. This way, we were all given a three-day break from work, and we could just focus on learning as much as we could about updated sales practices. We did learn a lot too. The trainer really knew what he was talking about, and he did not get stumped at all by any of our questions. We learned how to get new customers to give us a chance with our presentation, and we learned how to close the deal with stubborn customers. I have a feeling that we are going to show much-improved numbers at the end of this quarter because of this training.
